This tour offers a 360 degrees experience between nature, history and food. You will travel along the seaside, ride up and down hills and medieval castles, crossing the border up to the small Republic of San Marino, looking for the most stunning views. All of this accompanied by old traditions and good food such as truffle, wine and cheese. You will also be surrounded by friendly local people that will turn your travel into an unforgettable experience.
Day 1 – Arrival
Transfer from Bologna on request. Arrival at your hotel in Cattolica. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 – Via Panoramica road and Gradara castle
Breakfast and bike fitting if renting our bikes. On your ride today you will reach the beautiful town of Gradara. Learn about the lovestory of Paolo and Francesca, noble families of the 13th century. A story so profound that Italian poet Dante Alighieri included in his masterpiece The Divine Comedy. You will cycle along secondary roads until you reach the charming Via Panoramica road, considered one of the most scenic roads in Italy, located in the San Bartolo Natural Park and traversed daily by many cyclists. Do stop at some viewpoints to admire the view. You will then head back to the hotel with some free time to enjoy the town. Dinner at the hotel.

Dia 3 – Wine Tour
Today you will start pedalling through the beautiful contryside of San Clemente, the town of wine. In just a few kilometers you will come across many wineries where visitors can taste local products perfectly paired to get the best out of each tasting. You will visit the Enio Ottaviani winery, which stands out for its quality products and family history. Here you will stop for a delicious tasting and lunch among the vineyards. You will then head back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 – Tour of the castles
Today you will dive into local history, passing through two medieval hamlets and fortresses, Saludecio and Mondaino. By walking through the alleys, still well protected by the mighty walls, you will discover corners and landscapes worthy of a postcard. Mondaino awaits you for a special local cave-aged cheese tasting, formaggio di fossa. The fresh cheese is placed in special maturing pits and will only come out after 90 days. Its flavor will give you enough energy to continue your journey to your next destination: a colonial house immersed in nature, where you can enjoy a delicious light lunch with local products. Free time to relax by the pool surrounded by green hills.

Day 5 – Gola del Furlo canyon and truffle-based lunch
Today you will leave in the direction of Urbino, a beautiful Unesco site, a collection of history, architecture and impressive charm. Take some times to stroll through its streets and hillsides. Then head towards the wonderful Gola del Furlo, a nature reserve where the river has carved out deep canyons. Crossing the canyon on the famous roman road Via Flamigna, you will arrive in the town of Acqualagna where a delicious truffle-based lunch awaits you. This quiet little town is known worldwide for its truffles and culinary delights. We will arrange your return to the hotel by van.

Day 6 – San Marino
Today you will ride towards San Marino, another destination in another country. It is an independent republic, the oldest in the world located on the Italian peninsula, with its own government and law. San Marino has always been independent, despite the power struggles that have taken place over the years. How was this possible? You’ll find the answer here, surrounded by a unique landscape, from the top of its 750 meters of altitude and the peak between the Marecchia and Conca valleys.

Rimini is at only 20km from San Marino. We recommend to spend a day visiting the town of Rimini or take one of the frequent trains and head to Bologna.
