About the Tour

Discover Romagna from north to south. The Via Romagna is the first permanent regional cycling route in Italy, featuring low-traffic paved secondary roads and "strade bianche" — well-packed gravel paths. The 460km route connects the provinces of Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Rimini, crossing around 30 municipalities and touching 20 fortresses and castles, churches, cathedrals and museums.

The Via Romagna also offers a rich gastronomic experience with opportunities to visit wineries, local cheese and cured meat producers, pastry shops and traditional restaurants. Start in Comacchio, the "Little Venice of Italy", cross the Formula 1 circuit of Imola, climb the World Championship 2020 route through Brisighella, explore the thermal towns of Castrocaro and Bagno di Romagna, visit the Roman ruins of Sarsina and the medieval gem of Sant'Agata Feltria. Conclude through the dramatic hilltop fortress of San Leo and the historic Verucchio before reaching the coast at Cattolica.
